Our kind, loving and beautiful wife, mother and grandmother Ruth Tolman Hardcastle, 82, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 28,2004 of pancreatic cancer.
Born June 13, 1921 in Lovell, Wyoming to Judson L. and Pauline Hatch Tolman.
She married O. Albert Hardcastle Sept 27, 1937 in Evanston, Wyoming; later solumnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was a member of the LDS Church.
Ruth was an accomplished cook, seamstress and loved to travel. She never met a stranger, everyone became her friend and had an unconditional love for all.
Survived by husband and children Larry A. (Ida) of Idaho Falls, Id; Dennis (Marcia) of Sandy, Karen Black of West Jordan; Kent (Jodi) of South Jordan; Kim (Nancy) of West Jordan; Cathy (Scott) Duncan of Salt Lake City. She loved each of her 25 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren and had a personal relationship with them; also by two sisters Beatrice Coyner of St. George and Alice Broomhead of Salt Lake.
Funeral Services will be held Monday at 11:00 am at the Mount Jordan 3rd Ward 8950 S. 400 East, Sandy. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Broomhead Funeral Home 12600 So. 2200 W. and Monday one hour prior at the church. Interment, Sandy Cemetery.

This is my beautiful Aunt Ruth, My Mom's sister. We spent so much time at their home when I was a kid growing up. She was always a very special person to me.
