Sylvia Tolman was born in Byron Wyoming on 11-26-1905.
The third child to Judson Lamoni Tolman and Pauline Hatch Tolman. They moved from Byron, Wyoming to Lovell, Wyoming where they lived until 1923. The Tolmans had 5 girls before they had any boys, so the girls had to learn how to work on the farm and help their Dad. They moved to Lehi, Utah for a year and then moved to Sandy, Utah . Sylvia married Granville Harrison Pierson. Sylvia and Harrison moved to California, where they lived the remainder of their days. They had two children Ralph and Medora.
I have many special memories of Aunt Sylvia and Uncle George when I was a child when they would come to visit. They will both be missed so very much for their Love and Kindness.
This is my beautiful Aunt Sylvia. My Mother's Sister.
She was always so sweet when they came to visit or when we went to visit them in California.

This is a talk given at her funeral by her dear Granddaughter Cindy:

Sylvia Tolman Pierson, who was 88 was known to most of us as granny. She was born Nov. 26, 1905 and left us Dec. 27, 1993. Survived by her husband; Granville Harrison Pierson, Daughter: Medora Nankervis, Son, Ralph Pierson and Darlene Pierson. 2 grandchildren (Should be 4) 7 great grandchildren and one great, great granddaughter. Cynthia Faye Cook who brought great joy to her the last month's before her passing. For most of us who really knew Granny would agree with me that she was not just your average woman, wife, mother, grandmother, but rather a very special one. Everyone that knew Granny has very special good memories of a woman who was always generous, kind, giving, helpful and loving to everyone who met her during her life time on this earth. We will always feel that God sent us his special angel . We were fortunate to have granny in our life.

A Scripture from the Bible. "Everything has its time"
To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven.
A time to be born, and a time to die, A time to weep, and a time to laugh,
A time to mourn, and a time to dance,
A time to love, and a time of peace.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
