Funeral services were conducted Sunday for Frederick A. Elmore, 54, of Pacific, Mo., a former Granite City resident, who died May 12, 1983, at the Washington County Hospital in Nashville, Ill., after suffering a fatal heart attack, while on a fishing trip. He had been ill for several years.
Born in Granite City, Mr. Elmore moved to Pacific about 10 years ago.
Survivors include his widow, Jean (Rutledge) Elmore; three sons, Fred Elmore and Robert Elmore of Granite City and Michael F. Elmore in New Mexico; three daughters, Diane Poulson, Beardsley, Minn., Cathy Curtis in Missouri and Gina Pingleton, Pacific, Mo.; three stepsons, Larry Rutledge and Tony Rutledge of Union, Mo., and John Rutledge of Winchester, Ky.; three brothers, Rudy Elmore, Marvin Elmore and Richard Elmore, all of Granite City; two sisters, Juanita Blevins and Florence Hagnauer of Granite City, and 17 grandchildren.
His parents, John and Mabel Elmore, preceded him in death.
Funeral services were conducted at Russel Colonial Chapel, St. Clair, Mo., at 2 p.m., Sunday, with burial in Midlawn Memorial Gardens, Union, Mo.
