Mrs. Mabel Elmore Passes Away at 58
Mrs. Mabel Margaret Elmore, 58, of 2103 Kirkpatrick Homes, Ill for four years, died at 1:45 p.m. Saturday at St. Elizabeth Hospital. A native of Granite City, she was a lifelong local resident.
Mrs. Elmore was active in the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Unit 1300, the Lady Bugs and a Democratic club.
She is survived by her husband, John F. Elmore; two daughters, Mrs. Juanita Blevins and Mrs. Florence Hagnauer, both of Granite City; four sons, Ruthel, Marvin, Frederick and Richard Elmore, all of Granite City; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Sandweg of Granite City and Mrs. Loretta Ray of St. Louis; her father, Henry Niepert of Granite City; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral arrangements are given in the obituary column.
