Charles L. Ritter

BURNHAM – Charles L. Ritter, 82, of 434 Dry Valley Road, Burnham, died at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at Lower Bucks Hospital, Bristol. He was born Nov. 26, 1894, in Granville, a son of the late Henry and Mary M. Knepp Ritter. He married the former Virgie E. Bonning, who died in 1972.

Surviving are children, Mrs. William (Jean) Yocum, Fairless Hills, Mrs. Betty Reeder, 105 Fourth Ave., Burnham; a grand-daughter, whom he raised, Mrs. Harold (Carol) Snyder, 163 S. Main St., Yeagertown; 11 grandchildren, and 14-great-grandchildren. Two daughters and a son preceded him in death.

He worked for 40 years for Jay Miller Sand Company until his retirement in 1960. He was a member of Parkview Church of the Brethren.

Services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in Heller's Burnham Funeral Home with Rev. E. W. Strauser officiating. Burial will be in Birch Hill Cemetery at Burnham. The family will receive friends in the funeral home Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m.
