Tom Brodersen Died
Tom Brodersen, 73, Hale, a retired farmer died at 6 a.m. Thursday, July 8, at St. Luke's hospital, Cedar Rapids, following a brief illness.
Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 10, at the Wyoming Presbyterian church with Rev. George Tjaden officiating. Burial was in the Wyoming cemetery.
Born In Germany
Mr. Brodersen was born in Hottstedt, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany October 18, 1880, the son of Henry and Elena Carstensen Brodersen. He came to the United States in 1896, when he was 16.
He married Elva Alden. From this union were born three children, Ruth Betz, Los Angeles; William Brodersen, Wyoming, and Jean Harness, Clarence.
Retired Farmer
Mr. Brodersen farmed south of Wyoming until his recent retirement, when he moved to Hale.
