Betz, Ruth Helena (87) A retired nursing attendant at Daniel Freeman Hospital, died September 2, at Mary Health of the Sick in Newbury Park, CA. She was born January 23, 1914, in Hale Township, Iowa. She moved to Los Angeles in 1947 with her husband, Ralph and their three children. She was a loving and generous Mother and Grandmother. She is survived by her daughter, Majorie Coleman and her husband, Mahlon Coleman of Pebble Beach, CA; daughter, Mary Woods and her husband Mike Woods of Camarillo, CA; and her son Tom Betz and his wife Suzanne Betz of Redmond, Washington, nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Cabrillo chapter of the DAR; the California chapter of the Dames of the Court of Honor; Patrons and Founders, and the Mayflower Society. Rosary Services to be held at 12:00 Noon, Friday, September 7, 2001, at Holy Cross Mortuary, 5835 West Slauson Avenue, Culver City, CA. Memorial Mass to be held at 1:00 p.m. at the Holy Cross Mortuary Chapel.
