Council Bluffs, Ia., March 24.-The tail of the twister struck the outskirts of Council Bluffs and late reports this morning give the total death list as eight. There were seventeen persons known to be injured by falling walls and the property damage is estimated at $200,000. Dead: Mr. and Mrs. James R. Rice, Mrs. John Schultz, infant child of Peter Norgard, --Hawkins, Mrs. William L. Poole, Mrs. Lon Thomas, Mrs. W. Swindermann.

MINNIE LEINA JONES
Was born near Ruskin, Nebr., October 9th, 1893; later living with her parents near Nora. She was united in marriage with Oliver Roscoe Said January 29th, 1913, making their home at Ralston, Nebr., until God claimed their bright happy lives, as an Easter lily fadeth, in the tornado of March 23rd, 1913.
Her disposition and character can best be realized by those left behind. She leaves a mother, six brothers, six sisters, grandparents, and may other relatives and friends. She was 19 years, 5 months and 4 days of age at the time of her death. She was found clasped in her husband's arms mid the wreckage, as if even death could not break their happy union.
