History - Milo was born in Liverpool, England, while his parents were there serving on a mission. His mother died shortly after they returned home, leaving Milo motherless at the age of three years. In 1851, his father moved the family to Holladay. As a young boy, he herded cows for his father and some neighbors. He didn't receive much education because he was always being called on to work and supervise his father's land. He was a member of the Utah Militia by the time he was 19. He engaged in farming most of his life. Milo worked for the railroad for a time grading and preparing the railroad beds. He built the salt ponds for the Inland Crystal Salt Company, graded and dug three canals. His sons worked with him. He served in many callings in the Church, including that of a bishop and he was ordained a patriarch in 1911. He spent his last years doing temple work.
