He married Lucy Emeline Houghton on 21 March 1889, in Manti, Sanpete, Utah. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 4 daughters. He lived in Spanish Fork, Utah, Utah in 1880 and Mammoth, Juab, Utah for about 10 years. He died on 3 September 1925, in Santa Ana, Orange, California, at the age of 59, and was buried in Spanish Fork City Cemetery, Spanish Fork, Utah.
