"Mrs. Emma W. Van Fossan, aged 62, wife of John G. Van Fossan, died last Friday evening at her home just across the Canfield line in Boardman township, following a prolonged illness. Deceased was born in Beaver township May 11, 1874, a daughter of John and Margaret Weaver. Besides her husband she leaves three daughters, Martha, Mrs. Blanche Deemer and Mrs. Edith Kinney, and one son, C. L. Van Fossan, all of R.2 Canfield; four grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Weaver, Canfield, and Mrs. Anna Cramer, Salem; and one brother, Evan Weaver, Los Angeles, Calif. She was a member of the Paradise Reformed church, near New Buffalo. Funeral services Monday afternoon were conducted by Rev. A. D. Wolfinger in Forest Lawn cemetery chapel, Boardman-Youngstown road, with burial in that cemetery."
