"Clyde L. VanFossan, 68, of Columbiana, died of a heart ailment early Sunday in Salem City hospital, following a short illness. Born in Lordstown township, April 2, 1897, he was a son of John and Irma VanFossan, and as a youth resided in the Canfield area. Prior to his retirement in 1963, he had been employed for 16 years by the Stahl Coal and Building Supply Co. Besides his wife, the former Eva Mary Shallenberg, whom he married in 1921, he leaves a son, Robert of Columbiana; a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Kennedy of Ashley, Ind., and two sisters, Mrs. Michael Kenney of Canfield and Mrs. Delphine Deemer of Youngstown. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Warrick Funeral Home, and interment made in Forest Lawn cemetery, Boardman."
