In 1886, Della moved with her parents to Eldorado, Kansas. After living there for two years, she moved to Lexington, Clark County, Kansas and later became one of the first teachers in Ashland, Kansas.
She married William Kester Snyder, son of Daniel Snyder and Mary "Letitia" Keister / Kester on 24 Jan 1891 in Lexington. He survived her passing along with four sons; Kester Ulm Snyder, Lowe Ross Snyder, William Daniel Snyder, Dell Gordon Snyder and three daughters; Mabel Glenn Wright, Edna Dakin, Ethyl Lillian Hutton.
Della was a member of The Church of Christ, Scientist (also known as the Christian Science Church). She passed away on her 60th birthday while visiting the home of her son Kester Ulm Snyder, in Kansas City, Missouri. Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church in Bucklin, Kansas on 15 December 1926.
