In 1943, ten years after Josie's passing, Bill's children had all moved to Dayton, Ohio to find work, married and settled in, so he reluctantly sold his farm on Dan Ridge and bought a farm on #35 near New Lebanon, Ohio to be closer to them.
Their children are Corbett Lee, Beulah Bell, Earl Floyd, Versie Mae, Arnold Henry, Bethel, Velva Pearl and Melvin Clayton Smith
