Also surviving were one son and daughter-in-law, Lonnie and Shelda Everson, Atwater, OH; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ladonna and Matthew Teseo, Akron, OH, and Krista and Rick Shockey, Marietta, GA; five sisters, Virginia Wilmoth, Philippi, Mary Nell Wilmoth, OH, Helen Ketchum, Belington, Katherine Foy, Martinsburg, and Geneva Poe, Flint, MI; seven brothers, Virgil Everson, Belington, Don and Raymond Everson, Flint, MI, Tommy and Cecil Everson, Akron, OH, and Bertzel Everson, TN; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, Anthony Teseo and Holly Everson, Akron, OH, Corrina and Jim Strickland, Macon, GA, Nicholas and Karrah Shockey, Marietta, GA, Angelia Teseo, Akron, OH, and Harry and Wyatt Strickland, Macon, GA; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter; two sisters, Gladys Booth and Ruby Everson; and three brothers, Homer, Billie and Denzil Everson.
Mr. Everson was baptized into Christ in 1942 at Independence. In 1950, he was injured in a coalmine near Philippi, which left him handicapped. In 1952 he moved to Akron, OH, and became an iron worker with the Atlantic Foundry. He also became a member of the Brown Street Church of Christ, serving as an elder and ministering to various congregations in OH; to the Wooster, OH, Church of Christ for 6 years, the Petersburg Church of Christ for 3 years and the Middletown, IN, congregation for 3 years. His last location as a minister was the Gladesville Church of Christ. Poor health forced him to retire to Morgantown, where he became and remained a member of the Glen Oaks Church of Christ on the Greenbag Road.
Interment was in the Belington Fraternal Cemetery.
