Mrs. Axel Edwardson, 74, of 170 S. West St., Galesburg, died Saturday 29 Nov 1975 at 10:06 am at Cottage Hospital. The former Alta Means, daughter of Addison and Emily (Peterson) Means, was born 19 Apr 1901 in Knoxville. She married Axel Edwardson in Knoxville on 28 June 1923. He died in 1965.
Mrs. Edwardson was a member of Faith United Methodist Church. Surviving are two sons, Kenneth of Lake Bracken and William of Alpha; a daughter, Mrs. John (Rosemary) Yeager, Galesburg, 12 grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Viola Frew, Godfrey.
Funeral was held at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Chapel, Galesburg. Burial was in Knoxville Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Faith United Methodist Church.
