Mrs. Blanche Vogel dies at Deaconess.

Mrs. Blanch Vogel, 609 West State Street, died Thursday morning at 4:45 at the Evangelical Deaconess Hospital where she had been a patient for two weeks. Death was Caused from complications following an operation. She had been in poor health for two years.
Mrs. Vogel was born near New Providence: the daughter of George B. and Ellen Ordway. When she was about 10 years old, she came to this city with her parents. As a young woman she went to Boston where she was married Dec 10, 1906 to Frederick A. Vogel. Shortly afterward they moved to this city and lived here since. Mr. Vogel died Nov. 16, 1934.
They were the parents of one daughter, Gretchen, who died on Sept. 18, 1928. Surviving are a brother, Alonzo B. Ordway of Oakland, Calif., and a sister Mabel H. Ordway, who lived with Mrs. Vogel. Mrs. Vogel was an authority on antiques and an extensive collector.
Services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 at the Pursel Funeral Home in charge of Rev. Arthur E. Cash. Burial will be in Riverside.
