Born Jan. 15, 1932, in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Ethel and Daniel Calimer.
Mrs. Stoops was a retired housekeeper for various employers. In her leisure time, Mrs. Stoops enjoyed gardening, playing the slot machines and her pet dog, Chewy.
Mrs. Stoops is survived by four children, David Stoops and wife Orea of Waynesboro, Pa., Lynn Stoops and wife Shaye of Spring, Texas, Deborah Mohler and husband Wayne of Salisbury, N.C., and Randy Stoops of Rye, Texas; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Stoops was preceded in death by her son, Donald Stoops, in 1959; her husband, Carl Stoops, in 1994; and two brothers, Jesse Calimer and Calvin Calimer.
A memorial service was held at her home by the immediate family.
