James Darrow died at his home Saturday after a brief illness.
The Blanchardville Blade 1 Mar 1912

After an illness of a few weeks James Darrah passed peacefully away at his home in the town of Fayette on Saturday, March 2, 1912. All of his family were at his bedside at the last. He was a patient sufferer during his illness and was ready to go to his eternal rest.
He was born in County Antrim, Ireland, in the year 1837 and when but one month old moved to Scotland. They resided there about one year and then went to Liverpool, England and remained there about two years.
A short time later he emigrated to America with his parents, coming first to Pennsylvania and Pittsburg for several years and then came to Illinois. In the fall of 1848 they moved to Wisconsin, settling in this vicinity on the place that was still a part of his homestead at the time of his death.
On July 4th, 1877, he was united in marriage to Margaret Ellis. Four children were born to this union, Jane, Margaret, John and Ellis, all of whom survive him and reside in the town of Fayette. He is survived also by one brother, Wm. J. Darrah, of the town of Argyle and two sisters, Sarah Finley of Peatrel, No. Dakota and Jane McManus of Darlington.
The funeral was held Wednesday at St. Michael's Catholic church at Yellowstone, conducted by Rev. Father Barry of Hollandale and the remains were laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery.
