Husband Patrick H. McManus

Jane Darrow McManus, daughter of the late James and Jane Darrow, was born in Glasgow, Scotland, August 12, 1840. She came with the other members of the family to America when six years of age, locating in Yellowstone, Wisconsin. In 1863 she was married to Patrick Henry McManus, and until twenty years ago lived on a farm in the town of Fayette. In 1900 she came to Darlington with her son, F.O. McManus and family and lived here until five years ago when she moved with them to Des Moines, Iowa. She died Monday, Jan. 5th, at the age of 84 years and five months of age.
Deceased was the mother of one son, F.O. McManus of Des Moines, Iowa, and is also survived by three grandsons, Homer and Walter McManus, Des Moines, Ia., and W.H. McManus of Memphis, Tenn., and leaves two great grandchildren, Donald and Russell, also of Des Moines.
The body was brought to Darlington Tuesday and was taken to the Steil undertaking parlors where it rested until Wednesday morning when funeral services were held from Holy Rosary Church. Burial was in the Catholic Cemetery at Yellowstone.
