Bartholomaeus Roeder was the third child of Nicolas Roeder and his wife Marguerite Flies. Bartholomaeus was born on Jan. 11, 1837 and died on Feb. 26, 1891. On Sept. 10, 1860, he married Anna Hiederer at St. Anna Catholic Church, Town of New Holstein, Calumet County.

The Chilton Times for Saturday, Feb. 28, 1891 --

"Bartle Roeder of St. Anna died on Thursday of cancer of the stomach. His sister, Mrs. Anna Laures, was buried on the day of his death."
"Mrs. Carl Laures of St. Anna, the unfortunate woman that was conveyed to the insane hospital at Oshkosh about two weeks ago, died on Monday last."
