Mrs. Effie Heasley Hanna of Franklin R.D. 1, wife of William R. Hanna, died in the Cleveland Clinic Hospital at 10:25 p.m. Tuesday. She had been a patient in the hospital five days prior to her death. Mrs. Hanna was the daughter of the late Roland Heasley and Catherine Osenbaugh Heasley and was born in Sandycreek township January 6, 1880. Mrs. Hanna resided in Venango county all her life. She was a member of the first Methodist church of Franklin, chaplain of the Home Watchmen of Franklin, past president of the Pocohontas Lodge, recording secretary of the Women's Benefit Association and a member of the Dames of Malta, all of Franklin.
Surviving are her husband, William R. Hanna; four children, Philip R. Hanna of Franklin; Mrs. Genevieve Goodman of Wallaston, Mass. and Mrs. Mabel Huston and Seth S. Hanna of Franklin; eight grandchildren, one [great] grandchild, one brother, Clyde R. Heasley of Franklin, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Gregory of Franklin. The body was removed Wednesday to the H.L. Buchanan funeral home in Franklin."

Funeral services for Mrs. Effie Heasley Hanna of Franklin RD 1, wife of William R. Hanna, who died last Tuesday in the Cleveland Clinic hospital, Cleveland, O., were conducted Saturday afternoon in the Buchanan Funeral Home in Franklin by Rev. H.L. Knappenberger, pastor of the First Methodist church of Franklin. During the services, Rev. Knappenberger read "Abide With Me" and "In The Garden." Among the many friends who visited the Buchanan Funeral Home to pay their respects to the memory of the deceased prior to the services were large delegations representing the Franklin Women of the Moose and the Dames of Malta of Franklin, who called at the Funeral Home Thursday night, and the American Watchmen, who visited the Funeral Home Friday evening. Interment was in the Franklin cemetery and pallbearers were: Edward Richardson, Samuel Mackey, Elmer Young, Samuel Holmes, Harry Kuhns and Earl Hoffman."
