Franklin, Aug. 1 - (Special) - Roland C. Heasley, an old pioneer resident of this section, died early this morning at his home on Bully Hill. He was aged 76 years and had been suffering for a long time with cancer of the stomach. Surviving him are his wife and the following children: Mrs. M. Gregory, Bully Hill; Mrs. Effie Hanna, Buffalo street, this city; Ralph and Clyde Heasley, at home. The following brothers and sisters also survive: Samuel Heasley, Elkhart, Ind.; L.C. Heasley, Franklin; Sol. Heasley, Bredinsburg; John Heasley, Mrs. Mary Brandon, Nebraska; Mrs. Harriet Hayes, North Dakota; Mrs. R.W. Dinsmore, Punxsutawney. Funeral services in his memory will be conducted at the home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock."
