Oil City Derrick, Oil City Pa., Monday, May 9, 1927:
" RALPH P. HEASLEY
Franklin, May 8 - Ralph Pitt Heasley died at the home of his sister, Mrs. A.B. Gregory of Congress Hill Sunday morning at 6:30 o'clock. Death was due to an attack of acute heart disease.
Mr. Heasley, who was in his usual health Saturday, was stricken about 1 o'clock yesterday afternoon while in an automobile on his way to Stoneboro in company with a friend, Leonard Ferringer. Mr. Ferringer drove Mr. Heasley to the home of the latter's sister, Mrs. A.B. Gregory, when it became apparent that he was seriously ill and medical aid was summoned.
The deceased was the son of the late Roland C. and Catherine (Osenbaugh) Heasley, for many years prominent residents of Bully Hill. Mr. Heasley was born May 14, 1882, and if he had lived until next Saturday would have reached the age of 45 years. He was well and favorably known throughout this section of the county and his friends were numbered only by his acquaintances. Mr. Heasley never married.
He is survived by two sisters and one brother, Mrs. A.B. Gregory, Mrs. W.B. Hanna and Clyde H. Heasley all of Bully Hill. Mr. Heasley made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Ferringer of Bully Hill and was employed by the Boals Brothers on the Boals oil lease near the Ferringer home.
Funeral services in his memory will be conducted at the home of his sister, Mrs. Gregory, Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Interment in the Graham cemetery will follow the services."
