Mr. Abrm. Deardorff, an old and respected citizen of this section of the county, died at his residence near Altenwald, after a short illness, on Sunday last. He was well and favorably known in the county as a man of upright character, and has been for a number of years connected with the German Baptist societies in this section, and at the time of his death was prominently identified with the Old Order of that church. As an old resident of the county he will be missed by many friends and acquaintances and especially by those who are connected by the ties of kinship. He was for a number of years a subscriber to the Record, and a successful agriculturist.
