Mrs. Hannah Deardorff Wingerd, wife of J. Beam Wingerd of 265 South Second street, died at 2:45 o'clock on Sunday afternoon at her home, after several hours illness with a heart attack. Mrs. Wingert, who apparently was in her usual health, attended Sunday school at the First United Brethren Church in the morning and was awaiting her husband in the south vestibule of the church to join her for the church service, when she was stricken. She was taken to her home nearby.

Mrs. Wingerd was aged 79 years, 4 months and 29 days and was born near Waynesboro, the daughter of the late Mrs. and Ms. Abram Deardorff. She was a member of the First United Brethren Church for many years.

Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Miss Ruth Wingerd, at home, and three sons, Dr. Max Wingerd of Pittsburgh, Rev. Guy D. Wingerd of Columbia and Rev. Mark Wingerd of Allison Park, Pittsburgh, and nine grandchildren.
