Waynesboro, PA - John H. Deardorff, 61, formerly secretary of the Frick Company, this city, died at his residence here Christmas morning from cancer of the stomach. He was born near New Franklin, Pa. He was one of the organizers of the present Board of Trade and for several years was its secretary.
In this capacity he helped organize the Waynesboro Manufacturing and Development Company. He was also a director of the Waynesboro Building and Loan Association and was a former member of the Town Council and of the Waynesboro Relief Association. He is survived by a brother, Jacob W. Deardorff, new Franklin, Pa, and a sister, Mrs. J. Beam Wingerd, Chambersburg, Pa.
John Deardorff and Annie May Sener were married in Nov 1892. As far as is known, they never had children.
