Lawrence Alton Lambert, Sr, 91, died June 16, 2010 at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born August 1, 1918 in Pretty Prairie to Oscar Lulu Miller Lambert. He graduated from Pretty Prairie High School in 1935.
Lawrence was a member of the Forest Park Presbyterian Church, Hutchinson and was an Elder for many years at the Leoti Presbyterian Church. He was active in the Lay Witness Mission and shared the gospel of Jesus with his family and friends. He was a devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather who exemplified Christ in the home.
A resident of Hutchinson since 1993, coming from Leoti, he was a farmer, rancher, and cattle buyer. He served on the board of directors for Southwest Kansas Irrigation Association. He was Past President of Wichita County Irriation Association and a former Wichita County 4-H Club Leader.
He married Emmaline Welch on Jan 23, 1937 in Wichita. She died Jan. 25, 2005.
