Reta E. Wingate
PRETTY PRAIRIE - Reta E. Wingate, 97, died April 5, 2006, at Kingman Community Hospital.
She was born Feb. 2, 1909, at Pretty Prairie, the daughter of Oscar and Lulu Miller Lambert. A lifetime resident of the Pretty Prairie community she was a homemaker.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, the UMW, the Study Club and EHU, all of Pretty Prairie.
On Aug. 2, 1931, she married Harry Otis Wingate at Pretty Prairie; he died Aug. 31, 2003.
Survivors include son, Stan and wife Dixie, Lenexa; daughter and husband, Berna and Jon Davis; brother, Lawrence Lambert, Hutchinson; grandchildren Doug and Brad Davis, Jeff Wingate and Beth Wells; great-grandchildren Kaitlyn and Benjamin Davis, Kylie and Kristina Wingate, Dustin Chapman and Daniel and Jonathan Wells.
Funeral services were 10 A.M. Saturday at the Pretty Prairie United Methodist Church with Rev. David Bagland officiating. Burial was in Lone Star Cemetery.
Memorials may be made with the Pretty Prairie United Methodist Church or Prairie Sunset Home, both in care of Livingston Funeral Home, 1830 N. Main, Kingman, KS 67068.
