Mrs. Katherine C Thomas, age 72, died Saturday, April 1 1989 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Funeral services were held Monday, April 3 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Houston Cemetery with Dr. Bryan Scarbrough and the Rev David Kendall officiating.
The daughter of the late Alma Carter and the late Mary Hugh Peden, she was born in Chickasaw County. The widow of the late Dan Thomas, she was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Houston.
Survivors include four sons, Evans Thomas of Bryan, Texas, Lyman Thomas, Ralph Thomas and Danny K Thomas, all of Houston; one sister, Mrs. Ester E Ashby of Houston; one brother, Hugh Thomas Carter of Okolona; 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Richard Thomas, Mike Thomas, Frank Thomas, Russell Thomas, Dan Robert Thomas and Kirkham Dendy.
Memorial Funeral Home of Houston, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
