Mr. Carter was employed for over 30 years at the Kraft Foods Cheese Plant. He worked between 1960-77 at the plant in Greenville, Tn.
He was a member of the Okolona Presbyterian Church where he was an honorary elder. He enjoyed gardening, farming and fishing.
Services were held Monday, Nov 3 from the Chapel of Okolona Funeral Home with Rev. Jennifer Johnson and Rev. Sandra Sisson officiating. Burial followed in Oddfellows Cemetery. Lee Memorial/Okolona Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
He is preceded in death by his only son, Thomas M. Carter in 1986 and by three siblings.
