LEXINGTON - Services for Mrs. Nora Buford Ellington, 78, of Lexington, who died of heart failure Sunday, Oct. 15, 1989, at Hinds General Hospital in Jackson, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Southern Funeral Home chapel in Lexington.
Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington.
Mrs. Ellington was born in Black Hawk. She was a retired jailer for the Holmes County Sheriffs Department. She was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Lexington. She was the widow of Gordon Ellington.
Survivors include two sons, Ben F. Ellington of Rayford, N.C. and Buford Ellington of Kosciusko; three sisters, Willie Mae Alford and Celia Alford, both of Greenwood and Lorena Randall of Jackson; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Southern Funeral Home of Lexington has charge of arrangements.
