GRUNDY D. MAGERS
---Mr. Grundy D. Magers, born near Goldsberry, Missouri, Macon County, March 11, 1887, and died at Kirksville, Missouri May 29, 1942, age fifty-five years, two months and eighteen days. He had been seriously ill for about four weeks.
---On December 24, 1908 he was married to Miss Delilah L. Morgan. To this union five children were born, one dying in infancy. The four living are Miss Delores Magers of Macon, Mrs. Juanita Faught of Macon, Mrs. Beulah Jones of Kirksville and Miss Elvena Magers at home.
---His second marriage was to Mrs. Ada Wilson of Millard on January 29, 1930. He also leaves three step-children, Kenneth Wilson of Peoria, Illinois, Mrs. J.E. Claypoole of La Plata and Miss Faye Wilson of Peoria. There are three grandchildren, Cleo, Finas and Lula Faught and one step-grandchild, Larry Edward Claypoole.
---His father, mother, three sisters and one brother preceded him in death. The three sisters and four brothers living are: Mrs. Rena Flint of Bucklin, Missouri, Mrs. Lelia Colyer of Kirksville, Missouri, Mrs. Edyth Coram of Kirksville, Missouri, Clarence Magers of Columbia, Missouri, Charley Magers of New Boston, Missouri Joe Magers and Rozzy Magers, both of La Plata.
---Grundy was the seventh child of his fathers family and spent most of his life near La Plata.
