---Clarence Robert Magers, 83, died at Keller Hospital at Fayette on Tuesday, November 12, at 1 a.m.
---The son of John D. and Catherine Carter Magers, he was born September 10, 1889 in Texas.
---In July, 1910, he was married to Miss Mary Keyte and to this marriage a daughter and four sons were born.
---Surviving are John D. Magers of California, Mrs. Opal Vincent of Kirksville, Otis Magers of Bevier, Earl Magers and Melvin Magers of Elmer; two sisters, Mrs. Lelia Coyler of Kirksville and Mrs. Edith Coran of Brookfield; two brothers, Rozza Magers of La Plata and Charlie Magers of Bucklin and his wife by later marriage, Norma (Gates) Dennis and grandchildren.
---He was preceded in death by his wife Mary and father and mother, four sisters and three brothers.
---He was a member of the Harrisburg Baptist Church.
---Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church, Rev. Osborn of Fayette and Rev. Edward Sanders conducting the services. Mrs. Earl Harker was organist. Burial was in the La Plata cemetery.
---Bearers were Elvin Bragg, Horace Hill, Cecil Grahan, Lyle Collins, Howard Evans and Albert Wright.
