Oakley Moton Byrd, 78, died Friday at Doctors Hospital in Shreveport, La.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 27 from Hebron Methodist Church with the Rev. John Sproles officiating. Interment was in Hebron Cemetery with Southern Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Byrd was a retired farmer and a member of Brozville Baptist Church.
He is survived by six daughters. Mrs. O.T. Wynne and Mrs. Bill Rainer of Lexington, Mrs. George Bunch of Samberg, Tenn., Miss Geneva Byrd of Shreveport. La., Mrs. Melvin Farmer of West and Mrs. Henry B. McClellan, Jr., of Goodman; four sons, Otho K. Byrd of Greenwood, Obie M. Byrd of Cleveland, Robert Byrd of Lexington, and Joe Latham Byrd of Samberg, Tenn.; a sister, Mrs. Paul Hanson of Lexington; 26 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were his grandsons.
