Funeral services for Mrs. Clara Maude Byrd, 73, wife of Moton Byrd, were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Hebron Methodist Church with the Reverend Mack Massey officiating. Interment was in Hebron Cemetery.
Mrs. Byrd died Tuesday morning at her residence. She was a native of Holmes County and a member of Brozville Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband; six daughters, Mrs. Oscar Wynn, Lexington, Mrs. Bill Rainer, also of Lexington, Mrs. George Bunch, Samburg, Tenn., Miss Geneva Byrd, Shreveport, La., Mrs. Melvin Farmer, West, Mrs. Henry B. McClellan, Goodman; one sister, Mrs. Iska West, Odessa, Texas; five sons, Moton Byrd and Bob Byrd, Lexington, Tony Byrd, Greenwood, Sam Byrd, Cleveland, Joe Byrd, Samburg, Tenn., and 28 grandchildren.
