Francois Xavier Poirier aka Peach was actually born the 31 March 1811 and baptized the 2nd April 1811 in St. Joachim-de-Chateauguay, Quebec, Canada. He was the first born of 10 known children of Amable Michael-Joseph Deloge aka Poirier and Catherine Menard married 1810 in St. Joachim-de-Chateauguay, Quebec. His siblings were Marie b 1812, Clair b 1814, Germain b 1816, Pierre b 1820, Charles b 1821, Amable Amos b 1823, Marguerite b 1825, Hyacinthe Asel b 1827, and Aurelia (Laura) Deloge aka Peach b 1833.

Francis, as he was known, married Cleophee Claire Patenaude, daughter of Michel Patenaude and Josephte Frichet aka French in St. Lawrence County, New York on the 7th January 1841. They raised their family of 9 known children in both Quebec and New York, settling in the rural farming community of Constable, Franklin County, New York by 1840's. The couple were one of 56 individuals who donated funds to purchase land (Franklin County, NY Land Deed) that was to become St. Francis of Assisi Church Cemetery. In their golden years, circa late 1890's, they moved to Springfield, Massachusetts, along with several other children, to live with their son Francois Xavier "Oliver" and Emma Derocher Poirier aka Peach. Francis, widower for 5 years, died from injuries & senility, age 75 years.
