Francis, as he was known, married Cleophee Claire Patenaude, daughter of Michel Patenaude and Josephte Frichet aka French in St. Lawrence County, New York on the 7th January 1841. They raised their family of 9 known children in both Quebec and New York, settling in the rural farming community of Constable, Franklin County, New York by 1840's. The couple were one of 56 individuals who donated funds to purchase land (Franklin County, NY Land Deed) that was to become St. Francis of Assisi Church Cemetery. In their golden years, circa late 1890's, they moved to Springfield, Massachusetts, along with several other children, to live with their son Francois Xavier "Oliver" and Emma Derocher Poirier aka Peach. Francis, widower for 5 years, died from injuries & senility, age 75 years.
