Son of James Wilson and Delilah Shippe.

Husband of Mary Holley Stephens Bryant.
Veteran of the Civil War having served as a private with the Company A, 24th Arkansas Infantry. He was with them only a short time as he was discharged on 7/26/1862 as he had contracted cholera and was sent home where he died shortly thereafter. His burial location is unknown other than Sevier County, Arkansas. His brother Thomas also served in Company A as did another brother, Isaac, who would also die from cholera during the war. A third brother, James Wilson, would be captured and sent to Camp Douglas, a POW camp in Chicago, where he would die from smallpox.
