Served in Company A (some records say Company H but this is contrary to family history),24th Arkansas Infantry during the Civil War. His brothers Mathew and Thomas Wilson were in Company A as well. Isaac was discharged on 7/5/1862 and sent back home probably due to his being ill. He would die on the way home of cholera.
It is unknown for if Isaac made it back to Sevier County or not, but family history records he did so it is assumed he is buried with his brother Mathew, who would also die of cholera in 1862.
Some records show Isaac's death as occurring in 1864.
