Alberta W. Claypool, 93, of 1734 Pueblo Drive, died at 1:55 p.m. Sunday, May 15, at Hospitality Home East. She was born May 9, 1901, in Kittanning, Pa., the daughter of J. Harvey and Leanna Leisure Wyant. She was married Dec. 20, 1919, to Leonard J. Claypool who preceded her in death. Others preceding her where her parents; two sisters; four brothers; a son-in-law, Woodrow Rowland; and a grandson, Jim Rowland. Survivors include a daughter, Jeanne C. Rowland of Xenia; grandsons and granddaughters-in-law, Dr. Kent Rowland and Connie Emerson of Ponte Verda Beach, Fla., Tadd and Diane Rowland of Xenia and Jeff Rowland of Xenia; great-grandchildren, Holly Rowland of Pittsburgh, Pa., Jodi Rowland of Tucson, Ariz., Dee Polomik and husband Matt of Columbus, Reif Rowland of Xenia and Christopher Rowland of Xenia; two great-great-grandchildren, Kristn and Alicia Polomik of Columbus. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Woodland Cemetery, the Rev. Isaac Flora officiating. There will be no visitation. Arrangements entrusted to McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St.
