Harvey J. Wyant, 89, died at 12:05 o'clock this morning, January 26, 1948, in his home at 241 ½ Oak Avenue, as the result of a heart ailment. Mr. Wyant had been about in his home on Sunday, but was not in good health. He was a resident of Kittanning for the past 50 years, where he followed the carpentry trade before his retirement. Mr. Wyant was a member of the Kittanning First Baptist church. He was born on January 9, 1859, in Washington Township, a son of Bartholomew and Christina (Wolfe) Wyant. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Leanna (Leasure) Wyant; three son sand three daughters; Ira B. Wyant of Chicago, Ill., Samuel D. Wyant of Reesedale, Merrill Wyant of Baltimore, Mr., Mrs. Owen T. Meredith of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. W. A. Schreckengost of McGrann and Mrs. L. J. Claypool of Dayton. Fourteen grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren also survive. Friends will be received in the Rhodes funeral home, where funeral services will be conducted by his pastor, Rev. W. K. Morgan, at 2 o'clock on Wednesday afternoon. Burial will be made in the Kittanning cemetery.

Harvey J. Wyant, aged 89 years and 14 days, of 241 ½ Oak Avenue, Kittanning, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, died at 12:05 a.m. on Monday January 26, 1948 in his home. He was a member of this community his entire life having been born in Kittanning January 9, 1859 the son of Barthalmewu Wyant & Christine Wolfe. Mr. Wyant who was a retired carpenter by trade is survived wife Leanna Wyant who is two years his junior. Funeral services were under the direction of John W. Rhodes of Kittanning. Interment was made on Wednesday January 28, 1948 in Kittanning, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania. Information was provided by Samuel Wyant of RD #1 Adrian, Pennsylvania.
