Gilbert Anderson, 76, Malvern, formerly of Sioux Falls, died Nov.6 in Saline County Memorial Hospital, Benton. Mr. Anderson, a retired farmer and rental manager, was born Sept. 21, 1909, in Tuttle, N.D. He married Dora Portice Nov. 23, 1941. He was a member of the St. Luke Lutheran Church in Malvern and the Norse Glee Club. Survivors include his wife; three sons; Delwyn, Florida; Steven, Malvern; and Randy, Colorado; a daughter, Kaye Marfell, Texas; nine grandchildren; two brothers; Peter, Kansas; and Albert, South Dakota; and three sisters; Mary Mordt, Illinois; Jennie Oliver, Canton; and Anne Whorton, Malvern. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Atkinson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Larry Whorton, Lonnie Whorton, Darrel Whorton, Marvin Kirchoff, Jim Bell and Lowell Mobley.
