Albert J. Anderson was born in Tuttle, ND to Andrew and Anna (Olson) Anderson on March 31, 1915. At the age of three he moved to South Dakota with his family and grew up in the North Preston community. He was baptized in Tuttle, confirmed in the North Preston Lutheran Church and later became an active member of the Lake Preston Lutheran Church. He married Evelyn Severson on March 30, 1940 at Lake Preston, SD. He and his wife farmed in the North Preston area until moving to town in 1947 when he started doing carpentry work. Albert was a volunteer fireman on the Lake Preston Volunteer Fire Department for many years. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn, of Lake Preston, three daughters; Avis Crow of Centerville, SD, Marjorie of Lake Preston, and Mrs. Al (Colleen) Overby of Binford, ND, and a son, Ronald, and his wife, Kay Anderson of Lake Preston, eleven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and a sister Mary Mordt of Belvedere, IL. He is preceded in death by his parents, a so-in-law, Ken Crow, two sisters, and three brothers.
Funeral: Lake Preston Lutheran Church, Thursday, December 28th, 1995 - 2:00 p.m.
Burial: East Bethania Cemetery, Erwin, SD
