It was in Santa Barbara, she met her husband, Charles F Deiber. They married 1 June, 1876 in that city.
By 1880, Charles and Addie, along with her parents, her sister Viola Kenyon, and brother Clifford had all moved to Salmon Bay, Washington.

Obituary from the Daily Intelligencer, Seattle, dated Sunday, Oct. 3, 1880, page 3, Vol IX, No. 105:
"Died September 29th, Addie Dibert, wife of Charles Dibert, at their residence some eight miles north of Seattle, of heart disease. She was born in the State of Michigan in 1851, and came to this place three years ago. She was happy-spirited and always looked on the bright side of life; she was an affectionate wife, a good neighbor, and was ever ready to share in the sorrows of the unfortunate as well as to rejoice with her friends. She leaves a husband, an infant babe and her parents to mourn her loss."
