In 1837, Calvin bought 80 acres of land in Eaton county, Michigan, where he farmed.
They remained in Tyler until the 1860 census, when they had moved to Gunplain. By 1870, they were living in Wayland.
In 1875, Calvin and Elizabeth, along with daughters Addie and Viola Kenyon, had moved to Santa Barbara, California where Calvin continued to farm. Calvin is listed on the California voter's registration, along with son Orville, and his 2 son-in-laws Charles F Deibert and DeWitt C Kenyon.
King County, Washington was the next stop for Calvin and Mary. There he is listed on the 1879 Washington territory.
In 1880, Calvin and Mary are living in Lake Washington precinct, their home is located between daughters Addie Deibert and Viola Kenyon.
On the 1881 Washington Territory census, Calvin and Mary are living next door to son Clifford, wife Annie and their 3 children.
1883 Washington Territory census brings yet another move. Calvin and Mary are now living next door to daughter Viola and her husband DeWitt Kenyon, in Seattle.
The last move for Calvin and Mary was to return home to Michigan.
Calvin died on 30 July, 1887 in Plainwell, and wife Mary died on 4 February, 1888. They are buried together at Hillside Cemetery in Plainwell.
