JOSEPH LORENTZ DIES ON FRIDAY OF APPENDICITIS
Joseph Lorentz, of Petoskey, who was employed as a section hand on the Pennsylvania railroad, passed away Friday from appendicitis. He was born in Horton's Bay on September 6, 1886.
Surviving him are four brothers, Stephen and William, of Elmira; Albert Lorentz of Afton, and Nicholas of Grand Rapids; besides four sisters, Mrs. Barbara Burns and Mrs. Elizabeth Pierce of Topinabee; Mrs. Agnes Welch, Saugatuck, and Mrs. Eva Richie of Flint.
The funeral services will be held Sunday at the Stone undertaking parlors, with Reverend Mr. Baines in charge. Burial will be made at North Bay.
Mr. Lorentz was in the World service in Camp Custer from September until February.
