Ida Karoline Amundson, daughter of Ole and Dorothea (Jacobson) Amundson was born May 10, 1883 on the farm homestead near Tracy, Minn. When a small child she moved with her parents to Chatfield, Minn. where she attended the public schools. She was baptized in Hiland Lutheran Church near Tracy. She was confirmed in the Root Prairie Lutheran Church near Chatfield. She came to South Dakota in 1904 and on January 4, 1906 she was united in marriage to Alfred Gulbranson. They lived on the farm north of Colman, S. D. The past few month she has made her home at the Fairview Homes in Flandreau.
Survivors: She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Marvin (Doretta) Gullickson, Flandreau: one son, Alton, Colman, S. D.; three sisters, Mrs. Jep Turner, Chatfield, Minn., Mrs. Fanny Sundet, Preston, Minn., Mrs. John Gulbranson, Flandreau: one brother, O. J. Amundson, Chatfield, Minn.; 15 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1959, 5 sisters and 4 brothers.
