Services Saturday For Chatfield Man

Chatfield, Minn. _ (Special)- Funeral services for Chris Amundson, 77, retired farmer found dead in the woods near here Thursday morning, will be Saturday. Services are set for 1:30 p.. at the Boetzer Funeral home and 2 p.m. at the Methodist church, the Rev. W. K. Benbow officiating. Burial will be in the Chatfield cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home until the time of the services.

Mr. Amundson died late Wednesday afternoon, apparently from a heart attack. He was found by his sons, who searched the area when it was discovered he was missing overnight.

Mr. Amundson was born October 14, 1897. He lived in this area 60 years and was a farmer and telephone worker. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America and was a 60 year member of the Masonic Order.

Surviving are his wife; three sons, M. O., Carl and Kenneth, Chatfield; one daughter, Mrs. Arthur Redalen, Lanesboro; three brothers, Charles, Helena, Mont.; O. J., Chicago, and Henry, Sioux Falls, S. D.; one half-brother, Martin Hanson, Chatfield; five sisters, Mrs. Fannie Sundet and Mrs. Mattie Turner, Chatfield; Mrs. Melissa Olson and Mrs. Olive Gulbranson, Flandreau, S.D., and Mrs. Ida Gulbranson, Coleman, S. D.; 14 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
