Alton O. Gulbranson, son of Alfred and Ida Gulbranson was born in Moody County, South Dakota on September 25, 1906. He attended the rural schools and grew to manhood on the farm. In 1931 he was united in marriage to Myra Stokes at Colman. He lived north of Colman for 50 years, farming for many of those years until ill health forced him to retire. He was a member of the Midway Lutheran Church.

SURVIVORS: He is survived by his widow; two sons, Harold and Merle, both of Colman; on daughter, Mrs. Allen (Karoline) Harn, Omaha, Neb.; one sister, Mrs. Marvin Gullickson, Sioux Falls and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
