John W. Bueker was born May 11, 1899, in Kochville Township and resided in the home of his birth until his death on Monday morning, Nov. 2, 1981. He was well known as a progressive farmer and was active in the Farm Bureau and the Michigan Milk Producers Association. He was respected as a mechanic and repairman. He married Margaret Hoff, who survives him, on Nov. 14 1925, and was a devoted husband to her and father of their five children. He leaves his son. Wesley J. Bueker and his wife Mary and their children, Lori Buecker, Beth Bueker Thomas, David and Brian Bueker; his daughter, Dr. Kathleen Bueker, Beltaville, Va.; his son, John D. Bueker and his wife Barbara and their children, Andrea, Steven, Dana and Neil Bueker, Frankenmuth, MI.; his daughter, Margaret and her husband, Daniel Clark and their children, Nancy, Steven and Paul Clark; his daughter, Ruth and her husband John Stevens and their children, Paul, Andrew, Elizabeth and Jacob Stevens, Galesburg, MI. His two sisters, Alice Bueker Balesky and Louise Bueker Kuehn, predeceased him in 1975 and 1981 respectively. Two other sisters died in their infancy. John was a lifelong member of the Kochville United Methodist Church which he served for several years as treasurer. For eighteen years he served on the Jewett School Board in several capacities. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 154 F & AM and its Retirees Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and his montly euchre club.
Friends may call at the Case Chapel, 409 Adams St. after 7:00 p.m. Tuesday and between 2:00 and 9:00 pm. on Wednesday, and at the church from 12:00 noon Thursday until the time of funeral service. Funeral service will take place at the Kochville United Methodist Church on Thursday, Nov. 5, 1981, at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Carol J. Johns and Rev. Robert Hastings will officiate at the service and at the burial which will be in the Kochville Methodist Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy may consider the Kochville United Methodist Church or a favorite charity.
